As a Business Analyst, you’ll be using your background in software implementation and accounting to act as a subject matter expert on The Odessa Platform, our equipment leasing and finance software. You’ll be engaging with customers on software implementations while using your expertise in SDLC / systems implementations to guide them on making the best business decisions for their company while utilizing our product. You’ll also be collaborating and receiving guidance from your Business Architect and work alongside teammates including Senior Business Analysts, Developers, Project Managers, and more. Most importantly, you’ll be a key member of the larger organization who will facilitate your growth and success, encourage you to speak your mind, and enable you. 

Core Responsibilities 

  • Analyze a customer’s business and translate it into business requirements for the system while providing support to remote colleagues in Bangalore during design, development and testing phases to see the requirements through to completion
  • Understand and describe processes within the business domain
  • Conduct user application training
  • Assist with design reviews with internal and customer groups
  • Assist with customer functional questions and support 

 

Experience, Skills & Qualifications 

Required 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant major 
  • 2+ years of experience as a Business Analyst and/or other functional role(s) working on the full spectrum of the software development lifecycle 
  • Experience in software requirement gathering/writing and design process in the Financial domain (preferably with lease/loan experience) 
  • Experience writing/executing user test cases 
  • Understands basic client/server and database architectures 
  • Strong customer interaction and relationship management abilities 
  • Ability to perform well in a fast-paced, client-facing environment 
  • Issue & project tracking software experience 
  • Basic SQL knowledge
  • Ability to travel at key points throughout the implementation process 

 

Desired 

  • Experience with ERP or similar types of software 
  • Hands-on experience in the Equipment Leasing and/or Asset Finance industries 
  • Educational or professional experience with Accounting  
  • Ability to resolve/diffuse conflict and be comfortable in tense situations 
  • Ability to multi-task effectively and manage conflicting priorities and deadlines 
  • Experience working with global teams
  • Fluency in Spanish
  • Basic JIRA knowledge
