Primary Role

We are looking for a Software developer to join our Platform team to help design, develop and maintain the platform SDK.  Odessa’s Platform team is focused on innovation, research, implementation of core software libraries. We build core framework libraries on Odessa Platform to enable and ease product development. We design and implement core technology enables and help business leverage the library of pre-built software components. We are a technology team and we stress on eliminating inefficiency from developmental life cycle across the organization.

The candidate is expected to have a curious mind to understand the software development needs and follow technical expertise and recommendations in initiatives to support such tools. The candidate should collaborate across business and IT teams to create future-ready, upgrade-compatible extensions to existing functionality or integrate with surround applications. The candidate should understand the product development life cycle and support from conceptual to go-to market and adoption phases.

The candidate should be an expert in Microsoft .NET with hands on experience in .Net, C#, and comfortable with newer technologies. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated team player committed to delivering on time and with minimal supervision. 

What you’ll do

  • Work with a distributed engineering team to foster a smooth development process among onsite and offshore team members
  • Maintains the best practices needed to ensure on time, quality software solution deliverables
  • Responsible for design, code, configuration, and implementation of high-quality software solutions
  • Analyze and automate tasks through scripting and tools
  • Work closely with technical leaders to help develop solution architecture, core system components and proof of concepts
  • Work both autonomously and with relevant teams to tackle complex technical issues
  • Participate in design, code, and QA walkthroughs and reviews

Basic qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in engineering, computer science or related field
  • 3-5+ years of experience in developing with C# and/or .NET framework 4.0+
  • 2-5+ years of enterprise software development experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of enterprise architecture, design patterns and SOA services

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience working with ASP.NET MVC, Entity Framework, LINQ, NoSQL, and Message Queue
  • Demonstrated understanding of best practices in building web based applications
  • Familiarity with SQL Server / Oracle Databases
