Primary role:

We are looking for a highly qualified Legal Manager to help manage the legal, compliance, and regulatory aspects of our business. In this role, you will report to the Senior VP of Finance and safeguard our reputation by guaranteeing that the company strictly follows law guidelines, take ownership of corporate contracting with third parties and customers, and provide legal advice to management about all relevant issues.

What you'll do:

  • Work on complex contracts in IT, Information Technology Enabled Services, and Environment including software licensing, MSA, and SOW.
  • Negotiate commercial agreements from draft to review and advise the business on commercial contracts, identifying legal risk and suggesting mitigating actions
  • Give accurate and timely counsel to executives in a variety of legal topics (labor law, commercial contracts, partnerships, projects, etc.)
  • Draft and solidify agreements, contracts, and other legal documents to ensure the company’s full legal rights
  • Collaborate with management to devise efficient strategies to mitigate risk and exposure
  • Research and evaluate different risk factors regarding business decisions and operations
  • Review legal documentation pertinent to employees including, but not limited to, offer, bonus and/or termination letters, employee agreements, compliance and work papers
  • Review all vendor agreements and manage disputes/notices in the event of SLA breach
  • Maintain database of key legal terms, SLAs and ensure internal compliance
  • Maintain repository of standard contracts, manage workflow, and ensure compliance from draft to delivery
  • Conduct your work with integrity and responsibility

Basic qualifications:

  • In-depth understanding of commercial terms, legal & contractual issues, business practices.

  • Demonstratable knowledge of laws & regulations governing contracts
  • Expertise in drafting, negotiating and maintaining a wide variety of commercial agreements typical to the technology sector including MSA NDA, RFP, SOW
  • Strong Knowledge of license and services contracts for software
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to draft legal documents in English
  • Demonstrated ability to understand financial concepts and the impact of contract terms on them
  • Demonstrated ability to handle disputes and notices
  • A commitment to providing business with high quality and timely legal advice in alignment with business priorities

Preferred qualifications:

  • 3+ years of relevant legal experience in IT/ITES industry

  • Prior experience at a commercial law firm and/or working in-house

  • Sound judgment and ability to analyze situations and information
  • Demonstrated ability to create legal defensive or proactive strategies
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills

  • Strong analytical and computer skills
