Odessa’s Platform Team is responsible for the company’s overall technology roadmap, its product innovations and the framework on which all its core software offerings are built. The Platform Team is looking for a Senior Business Analyst for its factoring and supply chain finance offerings.

As a Senior Business Analyst, you’ll be using your background in factoring and supply chain finance software development and implementation to help drive Odessa’s expansion of its platform offerings in these areas. You will also act as a subject matter expert on the Odessa Platform, our asset finance software. You’ll be engaging with customers on software implementations while using your expertise in SDLC/Implementations to guide them on making the best business decisions for their company while utilizing our product. You’ll also be collaborating and receiving guidance from your Business Architect and work alongside teammates including Business Analysts, Developers, Project Managers, and more.

Core Responsibilities 

  • Analyze a customer’s factoring and supply chain finance business and translate it into business requirements for the system
  • Create functional specifications, build UI wireframes and conceptualize the integration of factoring and supply chain finance features within Odessa’s core product offering
  • Prepare detailed requirement specifications and user stories, and manage the requirements throughout the project lifecycle while coordinating with remote colleagues in Bangalore during design, development, and testing phases to see the requirements through to completion
  • Participate in testing efforts in conjunction with QA teams, including the design and execution of an overall test strategy
  • Provide hands-on business and domain guidance, review and support to platform releases
  • Conduct user application training 
  • Assist with design reviews with internal and customer groups 
  • Assist customer in planning and scoping of data migration 
  • Assist with customer functional questions and support 
  • Mentor Business Analysts 

Qualifications 

  • At least 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst and/or other functional roles working on the full spectrum of the Software Development Lifecycle for factoring and supply chain finance software systems
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related fields. 
  • Experience in the analysis of business requirements in the factoring and supply chain finance domain
  • Ability to gather and write complete, concise, and error-free requirements and/or user stories 
  • Expertise in software design process 
  • Experience writing/executing user test cases 
  • Understands basic client/server and database architectures 
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and customer teams and across multiple geographical locations and cultures 
  • Strong communication, documentation, organization, and planning skills 
  • Strong customer interaction and relationship management abilities 
  • Ability to travel at key points throughout the implementation process
