Primary role

As a Senior Software Implementation Project Manager, you will be fully accountable for the planning, execution, and completion of all project activities for implementations of our Odessa Platform (ERP) for our customers in the Equipment Leasing and Finance Industry. This will include the delegation of tasking, planning of the overall timeline and milestones, and delivering a project that is on-time and on-budget. You should have a solid understanding of what needs to get done and the ability to plan for the required resources at the appropriate times over the life of the project.

You’ll be the main point of contact with customers and will also be collaborating with Customer Delivery Executives and Project Managers from our Bangalore office as well as Business Architects in addition to working alongside other teammates including our Business Analysts, Developers, and QA resources.

Core Responsibilities

  • Will be responsible for managing all project aspects from Planning to Go Live for multiple medium to large, multi-year (ranging from 8 months up to 4 years) product software implementations 
  • Monitor and report project status and other performance measurements weekly to key customer and company stakeholders
  • Prepare management plans and reports; coordinate schedules to facilitate completion of deliverables, presentations, and formal Project Reviews
  • Maintain consistent communication with the customer before, during, and after each project
  • Responsible for identifying and executing opportunities to generate revenue to meet established revenue targets
  • Perform horizontal integration planning between core products and other functional systems
  • Develop work breakdown structures; prepare charts, graphs, and diagrams to assist in analyzing progress and opportunities
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining PMO best practices, methodologies, templates, processes, and policies

Experience, Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant major
  • 10+ years of hands-on Project Management experience in vendor, agency, consulting, or related position/s
  • 7+ years’ experience managing software implementation projects for external customers lasting 2 - 4 years
  • Ability to actively plan and manage large project budgets
  • Track record of creating and then directly executing long, detailed project plans
  • Familiarity working with multi-national customers or stakeholders
  • Experience with vendor-side ERP software implementations
  • Understanding of entire software development lifecycle (SDLC) for each customer installation and the associated complexities and dependencies, including data migration, system integrations, and user testing
  • Experience in Iterative Waterfall and Agile methodologies
  • Ability to identify resource requirements and manage team schedules across multiple projects in different phases of execution
  • Ability to travel at key points throughout the implementation process, including possible international locations
  • Familiarity working with remote teams, team members, and customers
