Primary role:

We are looking for a Lead Azure Infrastructure Engineer to set up, configure, and maintain large-scale applications hosted on Azure. As an expert in Azure infrastructure technology, this individual will lead the effort in the implementation, operation, and maintenance of current or future Azure system platforms. This individual will be focused on administering and providing day-to-day operational support for the Azure environment.

What you'll do:

  • Work independently with technical and business stakeholders in a collaborative application design and development environment to understand business problems and infrastructure requirements.
  • Manage the deployment, support, and troubleshooting of all Azure deployments.
  • Design and support detailed infrastructure-oriented solutions for cloud-based hosting of enterprise applications and products
  • Participate in ongoing management of client workload deployed in Azure.
  • Manage infrastructure operations aligned to the ITIL process, and deliver service level agreements (SLAs) around availability, RTO, and RPO.
  • Provide implementation, go live, and post-go-live production support through the process of initial setup, configuration, monitoring, and ongoing maintenance as part of the technical support team.
  • Provide expertise in analyzing, troubleshooting, remediating, and resolving issues in cloud infrastructure and architecture reported by clients.
  • Automate routine operational activities through scripting and tools.
  • Report and provide insights to the cloud engineering to actively optimize our cloud solutions.
  • Analyze existing infrastructure to identify opportunities for possible reuse.
  • Maintain security posture per industry standards including, but not limited to, ISO27001, SSAE 16

Basic qualifications: 

  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of public cloud infrastructure, specifically Azure.
  • Proven expertise in deploying enterprise applications on Azure, leveraging platform services such as App Service, Azure SQL, Security Center, Azure Monitor, Storage, Key Vault, Automation, Azure AD, vNet, VPN, Front Door, Load Balancer, and Traffic Manager.
  • Demonstrated understanding of DevOps framework and deployment, enterprise information security risks and processes, and ITIL framework.
  • Experience leveraging best practices for provisioning of production and non-production environments on Azure, optimizing the usage, reduce total cost of ownership, and reduce maintenance overhead.
  • Experience moving applications hosted on-premise to Azure for production and non-production environments.
  • Creative thinker and analytical problem-solver with demonstrated ability to manage projects from planning to completion in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
  • Knowledge of data center architecture and operations in a highly virtualized environment.
  • Decisive, energetic, and focused team player.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and technical communication skills.
  • Must be willing to work US shift on project/client basis.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 6-8 years of hands-on experience in designing and managing infrastructure network & security for large enterprise-scale applications.
  • Hold Azure Security Certifications including Microsoft Azure Administrator, Microsoft Azure Architect Technologies Certification and/or other relevant network security certifications.
